Mr. Foley has conducted fish and freshwater mussel surveys since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2009. He received his MS degree from Tennessee Technological University in 2014. He is experienced in leading freshwater mussel surveys, conducting surveys in Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. He is also experienced in sampling fish from large rivers to small streams using various techniques such as trawls, electrofishing, and netting. Additionally, he manages EcoAnalysts projects from preliminary proposal stages through client/agency coordination to project completion and report submittals. In this capacity, he designs survey methodology, leads field efforts, analyzes data using statistical programs and mapping software, including R, Systat, EstimateS, and ArcGIS, and is the lead author on technical reports, including Biological Assessments and Conservation Plans.
