Katherine Guild

Freshwater Invertebrate Taxonomist

Ms. Guild started at EcoAnalysts in 2015 as a sorting technician, gaining experience with macroinvertebrate diversity through a variety of project locations and protocols. Her responsibilities included fulfilling quality checks for freshwater, marine and ichthyoplankton samples, training new technicians, and supporting the Sorting Laboratory Manager through multiple administrative duties. Additionally, Miss Guild has collected benthic invertebrate samples in the field, including the Mississippi River mussel relocation project for the Illinois and Iowa Departments of Transportation. In 2017, she became a full-time Taxonomist concentrating on general freshwater invertebrate identifications. Miss Guild is a certified taxonomist with the Society of Freshwater Science in EPT - East and West.
