Emily Grossman

Aquatic Biologist

Ms. Grossman is an experienced malacologist and project manager. She has participated in unionid survey projects in small streams to large rivers throughout the Mississippi and Ohio River basins and regularly serves as field team leader on these projects. She routinely coordinates with state and federal agencies to design unionid surveys that meet the needs of both the agencies and clients and is familiar with the mussel survey protocols used by states throughout the Midwest. As a project manager, she is responsible for preparing survey plans, collecting and maintaining quality data, and preparing technical reports. She also manages the Missouri office’s laboratory and various reference collections.
