Taxonomic Services: International Benthic Macroinvertebrates

Peru Benthic Macroinvertebrates (2004, 2007).
EcoAnalysts has identified 135 benthic macroinvertebrate samples from a mining district in Peru. Identifications were to genus/species level where possible, including Chironomidae. Sample locations ranged in elevation from 2,700m – 3,800m and were in small to mid-sized wadeable streams. Many undescribed taxa have been recorded and will be submitted to the research community for further study and eventual description. Long-term monitoring of biology and water quality at these sites will allow us to develop water quality associations with many of these taxa.

Suriname Benthic Macroinvertebrates (2006).  
EcoAnalysts sorted and identified over 50 benthic macroinvertebrate samples from a mining project in Suriname. All organisms were removed from the samples and identified to family level for the monitoring project.
