Marketing Coordinator

Responsibilities:

The major responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator is to serve and support the sales team as they generate and sustain profitable demand for EcoAnalysts’ services. Here is a brief list of some of the major duties of this position:

Market research

  • Develop and maintain client and marketing databases
  • Help EcoAnalysts to Implement marketing strategy
  • Works to maintain a consistent brand throughout the entire company
  • Organizing and participating in promotional activities
  • Develops and coordinates public relations pieces and events
  • Development of website content and structure
  • Development of internal and external corporate communications
  • Design advertising materials
  • Participate in the implementation of sales campaigns
  • Making and tracking warm and cold sales calls
  • Create and maintain project reference sheets and staff resumes

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:
Required: Four-year college degree in business or marketing field
Preferred: At least one year experience working in a marketing position, preferably in a private consulting firm.

Skills and abilities needed:
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office products Word, Access, Excel, and Powerpoint
Graphic design software experience, preferably Adobe CS3 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Strong writing ability, especially for writing marketing pieces
Excellent verbal communication ability
Strong work ethic
Desire to collaborate with team members
Commitment to meeting deadlines

Major Position Duties
The primary duties of this position are the identification of marine benthic invertebrates. We work in a production environment where accuracy is critical and speed is imperative. No research will be involved in this position and applicants should expect responsibilities that are common to production bench taxonomy.

Moscow, ID.

Qualifications
The majority of our projects come from the coasts of North America, so the successful candidate will be required to know and learn a diverse range of marine fauna. Experience in polychaete worms and/or mollusca as well as a combination of the following is preferred: Porifera, Cnidaria, Polycadida, Nemertea, Sipunculida, Echiura, Phoronida, Brachiopoda, Ectoprocta, Crustacea or Urochordata.

The successful applicant must have a good work ethic, be able to meet deadlines, be willing to go the extra mile, and work well in small groups as well as independently.

Minimum educational qualifications are a bachelor's degree in the biological sciences, including coursework in invertebrate zoology, marine biology or oceanography. We also require at least three years of full-time experience working in marine taxonomy. Preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of identification experience in a production taxonomy setting.

Compensation
Salary and benefits are dependent upon experience and qualifications. Benefits include: flex time, vacation/sick time, health insurance (medical, vision, and dental) and an employer-matched investment fund.
